Room in a Private Guest House

Getting around was easy, with the metro only a few minutes away and connections to downtown, Notre Dame, and Les Halles. The hotel was clean, and everyone we met was pleasant and super attentive. Great place, I’d definitely recommend it.

We wanted somewhere with a proper neighborhood feel, away from the main tourist traps but still pretty central, and this place was just right. It’s in a quieter, less touristy area, with lovely cafés and bars nearby and the metro a two-minute walk away. The main sights are only a few stops away. Our deluxe double was roomy by Paris standards and very comfortable, though I know the room sizes vary. The hotel is small and beautiful, and the staff were so friendly, especially Mus.

At 220 euro a night, I expected more. The room was tiny, as was the shower, which shares the toilet behind glass doors that offer no privacy. The sink is in the room. The shower’s gel and shampoo bottle was empty, something I discovered after getting in, right before bed after a long flight. The linens were old and torn, and without the curtains drawn you look straight into the offices across the way. There’s no hook for a hand towel and no fridge. Who gave this hotel 4 stars?

The service was incredible, and the hotel was spotless. It’s in a peaceful area without much tourist traffic. I’d strongly recommend it.
