Hôtel Les Pecheurs

We were given five stars' worth of hospitality. Our hosts noticed we couldn't find a restaurant because most were closed or fully booked, so while we were in the dining area they brought out bread, cheese, meat, fruit and vegetables, far more than we could eat, and charged nothing. They felt bad for us and wanted to make it up to us. Just lovely people. The rooms are plain, clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but perfectly adequate, and you're right by the sea. If you're there, see if you can visit the Berta-Maillol winery. We stumbled across it and had a wonderful tour and wine tasting with the owner.

It was winter, so the place felt quite isolated. They also didn't tell us ahead of time that dogs cost extra. Still, they were very nice to us, and the hotel was good enough for our holiday while we visited Collioure and looked around the area.

The owners were so friendly, and I appreciated having somewhere secure to leave my bike downstairs. That, along with the good number of power outlets in the room, was a plus. There was air conditioning but no fridge. The view from the balcony was nice, and I think most, if not all, rooms have one. The room was simple and very close to the beach. The bed was new and really comfortable, and the towels were nice and soft. The bathroom was quite old, the shower doors didn't work properly, and the bathroom door was broken too. I didn't mind much since I was alone and didn't need privacy. Wi-Fi was good enough, but required a browser login and needed reconnecting now and then. Breakfast wasn't very varied, but was good enough. I only wish the butter had been left out to soften instead of coming straight from the fridge. I couldn't see a wheelchair-accessible entrance. I had to take my bike up the stairs to get into the hotel, and there's no lift to the rooms, so I don't think it's accessible for wheelchair users. The price was more than I expected, though I understand things cost more at a seaside resort. The owners' friendliness and the secure bike storage earned the four stars. Thank you very much!

A small hotel in a good location. The rooms are really small, though, and could use more shelves and hooks. They all have a balcony, some bigger than others, and some look out to sea.
