Hôtel Saint Guirec Et De La Plage

The restaurant is absolutely excellent, with exquisite food and a stunning setting overlooking the bay. The rooms are small, but that helps keep the place affordable, and they fit in everything you need. Staff were great and service efficient. A couple of tips: book the restaurant, as it fills up, and reserve a car parking space too.

The staff were very friendly and happy to offer advice or help. We were lucky to get one of the few parking spaces beside the hotel for our whole stay; otherwise you'd need to park in the village, a short walk away. The village was busy with visitors and coach drop-offs during the day, even in early June, so I can imagine how crowded it gets in high season. We booked a Sea View Room with Balcony for two nights, and the view over the beach and its huge granite boulders was fantastic. At low tide we could also see the Oratoire de Saint-Guirec on the beach. The hotel has a lift to the bedrooms. Our room was comfortable, but very small, and I wouldn't have wanted to spend more than a couple of nights there. There was nowhere to set up a laptop, and the balcony had no privacy screen. It did have a kettle, coffee, tea, and toiletries. We booked half board, breakfast and dinner, in advance. On the first evening we couldn't get a table by the window at the hotel restaurant, and we didn't like the menu, so we ate at the restaurant next door, which seems to be part of the hotel. They adjusted our bill at the end of the stay. They also discussed the dishes for our second evening, and we enjoyed that meal in the restaurant. Breakfast on the first morning was disappointing. We weren't late, but had to keep asking for items to be replenished after they ran out, including croissants and eggs.

The setting is unique, right on the beach facing the red granite rocks and islands. The restaurant was very good too.

We had a wonderful view from our balcony at this lovely hotel right by the beach. The restaurant food was a pleasure as well. A stay I'd highly recommend.
