The shared kitchen is great, and the beach is very close. The staff were lovely and the whole place had a really nice vibe. Rooms facing the street get loud from about 7:30, so choose one at the back if you want to sleep in. If you're an early riser, that won't be a problem. I'd definitely come back, and I'd recommend it.

Don't miss the breakfast buffet, and the Lebanese food is really excellent. It's a cosy place, quiet and just around the corner from the beach. Clean, nice rooms at a fair price, with helpful staff. The only thing I missed on a hot night was air conditioning.

The food was superb, and the woman chef and waitress were incredibly hospitable, especially the girl with the black hair. They let me take my pizza and cakes to my room, and kindly stored my bike downstairs in a secure room. I found the place by chance, arriving by bike about an hour before sunset. I hadn't even realized I had crossed into France. I was lucky to find rooms that were both comfortable and affordable.

We went to the restaurant attached to the hotel. The room was basic, but it stayed cool on a hot day. It's visible from the front, though not right on the seafront in Banyuls sur mer. We chose the €19 menu du jour for two courses, with no choice of dishes. The starter was a refreshing salad of courgettes, pickled, I think, with red berry coulis and feta. For the main, we had fresh cod on puréed squash with mixed vegetables and mash on top. Everything was good quality, and the dishes felt individual rather than the same things you see everywhere.
