The grounds were lovely and neatly kept, and the owner and a young staff member were both friendly and easygoing. We stayed in a spacious family suite in late May with our twins, who were 3 1/2 years old. The beds were comfortable, and breakfast was fresh and generous. Still, the cold, damp-feeling rooms were hard to get comfortable in, and we couldn't control the heating. The shower barely trickled, too. Some of the room furniture felt makeshift, and the plastic breakfast chairs with their basic cloth covers didn't suit the château's lovely atmosphere. At over EUR 450 per night plus breakfast, we expected more comfort. It felt more like a good BnB than the regal château it presents itself as.

The house and grounds were beautiful and well cared for, and the setting was wonderfully peaceful. We spent two nights here and enjoyed having such a calm place to return to after exploring the area. The days were unusually hot during our visit, but the lack of AC in the rooms wasn't a problem. The lady managing the château didn't speak English, though my wife knows some French, so we were able to communicate.

It was a great place to stay, with excellent breakfast every morning and a beautiful setting around the impressive Chateau. We spent four nights here. The location made it easy to visit the D=Day sites, Bayeux, and the tapestry museum, and amazing restaurants were only minutes away at night.

We had the entire place to ourselves since we were the only guests, and the owner was very friendly. The room was stunning, and the grounds were well maintained. It's very close to Bayuex and the D-Day monuments and beaches, with Maisy Battery just a 20 minute drive away. That one's a must. We only booked 2 nights and wished we'd stayed longer. Amazing place, so book if you get the chance.
