The shellfish were outstanding, especially the whelks. They steamed them instead of boiling them and added cloves, which gave them a wonderful texture and taste. I know whelks aren't for everyone, but they're worth sampling. The fresh, sweet oysters were lovely too, and the prawns and spider crabs were very good. The seafood platter was out of this world. We paired it with an amazing white wine, the one to choose if you're treating yourself. After all that seafood, we ordered dessert, and those were just as good. The staff were friendly and professional, with a good pace between courses. We had plenty of time and never felt rushed. Book by phone or email ahead, as it gets busy. We went on a Wednesday evening and the restaurant was full.
We felt very welcome with our three young children, thanks to the exceptionally friendly service. The food was delicious and the wine list excellent. It's a charming restaurant with a classic, maybe even old-fashioned feel.
The starters, especially the prawns, oysters, and crabs, were amazing, and the fish was really fresh and tasty. The main courses were fresh too, but didn't impress as much. Nice place, and the staff were really friendly.
We had a Quincy white wine that was lovely and reasonably priced at 30€. The wine list seemed decent, with whites starting at 20€ and going up to 65€, at least. I didn't find the meal especially expensive, though I don't know what the usual prices are around here. The seafood plate was tasty and filling, and the foie gras was very nice too. For the amuse-bouche, we were told it was leek foam, though to me it tasted more like asparagus :-). Dessert was alright. I'd come back, though it's a shame there's no better view of the seashore.
Everything was so good at Saturday dinner. The seafood was really fresh, dessert was great, and the service team was lovely. A new favorite meeting spot for me, I'd recommend it.
