We've been here twice, both times arriving by bike, and the staff always make us feel welcome. There's a safe place to keep the bikes around the back, though you have to wheel them through reception. The building has character and is in great condition, and everything is super clean. Some rooms are a little small, but that's part of staying in an old building. Rooms 2 and 4 have the views we'd recommend.

We took some delicious homemade foie gras away with us when we left. During our two-night stay in mid-April, the team were also helpful with suggestions for places to eat, which was useful since many places were closed for the season and early in the week. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and breakfast had a great range of hot and cold choices. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We were lucky to have lunch here on Easter Day, when the restaurant opened specially, and it was truly excellent. The food is exquisite and totally delicious. It seems they aren't opening much this year because of staffing problems, but if you find it open, do go. They're taking bookings for parties of 10+ this summer and opening on occasional days.

Our dog was made very welcome, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a lovely, well-equipped room in a great location, and it was a very pleasant stay. Looking forward to coming back.

Everyone on staff was courteous and helpful. I spent a night here last Wednesday, and the room was clean, fresh, and well appointed. An excellent stay.
