The room was roomy and lovely, with gorgeous antique furniture, and we slept very comfortably. Benoit made both us and our dog feel at home. We loved the Château’s relaxed, authentic old-world feel, and it’s a great base for exploring the Sauternes area. We’ll definitely come back.

The host was so friendly, and a great cook. We had a wonderful dinner, though on our first night we only asked for a cheese board and it was huge. We treated ourselves to two nights at this beautiful château, where each room has its own decor. Amazing stay. Cheers 🥂

We loved having a swim in the château pool, and the walk here from Sauterne was lovely. The host makes all the food himself, even the natural yogurt, and it was delicious. Our two nights were a wonderful château experience, with pretty rooms, lovely views, tasteful decor and comfortable beds.

The most interesting part for me was hearing Benoît explain how the local weather gives Sauternes wine its distinctive sweet taste. He welcomed us warmly at Château Camperos, showed us around the beautiful grounds and even offered us a bottle of wine. We had a relaxed, memorable visit during our trip to Bordeaux, and we’re very grateful. I’d happily recommend it.

David was especially charming. He took time to get to know us and make sure he could help turn our stay into something special. Both brothers were lovely hosts, especially considering how much work it must take to keep the place going. We had a great experience.
