Hôtel Port Toga

The Wi-Fi was the weak spot: only three devices could connect in each room, and it was neither fast nor reliable. The rest worked well for our family of four, especially since we mostly just slept there. The family suite was fine, the street-facing room stayed quiet despite being near the ferry terminal, and the air conditioning was good. We’d had a bad experience with an apartment booking in Bastia, so this hotel became our last-minute option for the rest of our stay. The staff were really helpful and let us see the room before booking, which put our minds at ease.

They even stayed up to check us in after our flight was delayed, which we really appreciated. The room was spacious and clean, with good air conditioning and a great shower. It’s about a 10-minute walk into town, with a lovely patisserie, supermarket, and restaurants nearby. There’s parking behind the hotel too. A great option for a visit to Bastia.

Giuseppe at reception was lovely and helpful. The hotel feels bright, modern, and clean, and our room had about twice the space of rooms in hotels just 10 minutes farther into town. The underground parking costs €10 and is very tight to get into; there’s also an electric charger for €20. Free public parking is a minute away if you prefer.

The location made it easy to get around, with the center, restaurants, and a supermarket all close by. We found plenty to choose from at breakfast, which costs €15 per person, and thought it was very good value. The young woman at reception was lovely and gave us all the information we needed. Both the hotel and our room were clean and well kept. From the top floor, the view was dreamy, especially in summer when you can enjoy the pool too. I had a really pleasant stay and felt I’d chosen well. I’ll definitely come back. To me, this deserves more than three stars ☺️
