We were in France for work and got room 9. There’s a door between our room and the one next door, so we heard the guests talking all night and couldn’t sleep at all. My husband has a terrible headache after the sleepless night and long trip. If you need a quiet night’s sleep, avoid booking here.

The church bells ring pretty often. Still, this is a great budget place for a stopover. It’s not especially modern, but at this price that’s hard to complain about. We had an issue with the keys, and the owners and staff responded quickly.

We booked four rooms for our family, ourselves, and some friends this time, and everyone was really happy. The welcome from Stéphane and Sandrine was so warm, and the rooms have had some renovation. They’re simple, well-equipped, and full of character, and the hotel itself has plenty of charm. There’s a very good restaurant next door, and the location makes it easy to explore the region. The hotel is in a village facing a church steeple, so you may hear the bells more or less depending on your room. We’re sensitive to noise, but it didn’t bother us. Bedding is personal, of course, but we slept really well. We think it’s excellent value for money and will definitely return. We’ve stayed here on previous trips to Alsace, though it now has a new name and new owners.
