Les Ô Kiri

We liked the location and had a good-sized pitch for our two-night stay last week. The restaurant was in a lovely setting and the food was good, though the menu was limited and fairly expensive. The showers were a real letdown, with water coming in 10-second bursts, so we had to keep pressing the button. We were also disappointed to find the lake closed for swimming. The website didn’t mention it, and we wouldn’t have picked this site if we’d known.

The owner gave us a warm welcome, and the restaurant and artificial lake have a magnificent view of the Pyrenees. With a sunny weekend, it seems like a better place to visit in the summer. Our chalet was very basic and clearly a few years old. It was probably fine for one night during a race, but at €91 including booking fees, even in March, we expected better service. There was no hot water in the evening either, perhaps because the water heater was regulating itself.

Yohan and François were so friendly and patient as we tried wakeboarding at the lake. We spent a lovely afternoon there, and got a warm welcome at the bar/restaurant too. Such a great discovery 💖

There’s a lot of potential here, and the setting is really pleasant. The welcome was nice and the staff were friendly, but the campsite itself felt neglected. The grass was very high, the pitches hadn’t been mowed, and things looked overgrown, even with a busy triathlon weekend coming up. They didn’t even have a squeegee for the shower. Management and upkeep need attention.
