Camping Les Rives du Lac de Sainte Croix

We had a large corner plot with plenty of sun, just what we wanted, and the site was nicely laid out. We stayed two nights in our RV. Even though it was high season and fully booked, the staff were very helpful. We tried to extend to six nights but there wasn’t space this time. The toilets and showers were clean, and staff were there daily. The path down to the lake was uneven, which might be hard on bad knees; perhaps they could build an access path in the future. The recycling point was below the site near the restaurant, also a bit of a walk. We recommend a visit and hope to come back.

We stayed in a luxury spa cabin at this quiet, very nice location. The staff were helpful, spoke a little English, and even helped us find our way to a hospital. The beach is a bit small and takes about a five-minute walk through the forest to reach.

We had a really lovely stay. The location is excellent, the staff are very friendly, and the entertainment was very good, especially Meg and breakfast. The shower areas are looking tired and need updating.

We spent a week here in our camper van. Most pitches were spacious enough and nicely shaded, though very dusty. It was a bit too far and awkward for us to get to the lake shore. One path gets very steep near the end, while the other is a long walk, about 1.5k from the area around reception. The bathrooms were okay and clean, but it baffles me that the shower stalls don’t have even one hook. How are you meant to keep your things dry? People who plan and build these places should try showering there themselves sometimes. The evening entertainment was a nuisance for us, though I know other people ask for it. At least it didn’t go on all night like at some other places, and only a few nights were actually noisy. All in all, it’s an okay site that I can recommend, but I’ll keep looking for somewhere closer to the lake.
