Maison Flottante - Houseboat - Baurech Insolite

La Maison Flottante is just right if you want to get away from the world and hide out in paradise. It's a unique place, with nature, peace, and privacy, while supermarkets and restaurants are only a 10-minute drive away. There are also various water activities on the lake. Our dog enjoyed it as much as we did, which was a huge plus. The complimentary SUP boards were excellent to have throughout our stay. We can't wait to return!

The only small drawback was the water ski boat engine. Apart from that, we had a fantastic weekend with family and friends in a MAGNIFICENT place. The gîte is large, exceptional, and fully equipped. Its huge terrace looks out over the lake, and the sunrise was wonderful. Two smaller terraces face both the lake and the Garonne River. Thanks to Delphine for being so kind.

We stayed one night, and for €225 a night, this was unacceptable. The owners offered no compensation and said we should have known how to use the equipment, whether the shower, air conditioning, or plumbing. The owner also said we'd need to stay longer to get used to it. No thanks. With my loss of smell, at 25 degrees Celsius, it seems reasonable to avoid showering when the bathroom's sewer odors spread into the living area, the reversible air conditioning doesn't heat effectively, and the showers are cold despite constant water pressure. At this price, we might as well stay in a 3-star hotel. Provide basic amenities or lower the rental price.

The stay exceeded our expectations. We wanted a peaceful weekend somewhere unique, and weren't disappointed. It's tucked away in a green corner, with a magnificent view as soon as you wake up. Delphine was very helpful and attentive. We'd definitely return.
