The restaurant really made the stay, with delicious food and such lovely service from Mme Leclerc and her team. The chateau is tucked away on a secluded property, and the rooms are comfortable and beautifully kept. There’s a lovely garden with plenty of spots to sit, plus forest trails right nearby if you feel like getting some exercise. Highly recommend it for a relaxing getaway.

The staff made my last-minute solo trip to Normandy especially nice. I arrived late and found the little on-site restaurant was fully booked, but the front desk called and they found me a bar seat, with a proper table promised as soon as one opened up. When I got there, the restaurant manager served me the regular menu at the bar. Dinner was fantastic, especially the cider and Normandy desserts, and he even offered me a taste of the famous Normandy Calvados. The chateau itself is pretty, quiet, and has a romantic French countryside feel. I also got a lovely room upgrade through the Amex hotel program, and the front desk staff were so helpful. I’d definitely come back with my partner.

The food was exceptional, and honestly the highlight of the property. The grounds are beautiful too, and the pool is especially lovely, but even though we were told it was busy, the bar/kiosk by the pool never opened, so there was no service there. For what it costs from Australia, the stay fell short of expectations, especially the arrival and room allocation. The “upgrade” still had issues and didn’t seem to take our needs into account. The location is good, though you need a car to get around, so we spent a lot of time away from the property. There weren’t nearby dinner options, and eating in-house was very expensive, so you might want to look at places in town.

The rooms are comfortable and have that special French chateau atmosphere. It’s a peaceful, relaxing place with helpful people and really tasty food. Just right for unwinding and enjoying your time.

The hotel’s location worked really well for visiting Bayeux and the Normandy sites, and they arranged several outstanding excursions for us. We were there on a family trip after another hotel in Bayeux recommended this place when they couldn’t accommodate us. What luck, the Chateau is absolutely gorgeous, with a stunning drive up to the entrance. The grounds were beautiful, the rooms were lovely and very clean, and the bedding was comfortable. Everyone, from the front desk to the bar and restaurant staff, was so kind and made sure we were well looked after. We ate at the restaurant several nights and the food was excellent. I’d highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting the area, including Mount St. Michel and Bayeux.
