VillaSarda Drome

The place was spacious, clean, and practical, and the pool, jacuzzi, and sauna were all spotless and working perfectly. I spent 13 days here with my two kids, aged 7 and 3, from July 14th to July 26th, 2025, and would definitely recommend it. You get plenty of independence, but Françoise is easy to reach by phone and responds quickly. We were lucky to meet her one weekend when she came into town. She's a wonderful woman, and the value for money is excellent. Go for it!

I came with friends for a weekend and was disappointed with the rental. It was okay, but there are quite a few things to improve. We booked through Airbnb. There are two accommodations, and this one isn't completely private since the pool and jacuzzi are shared in set time slots. The listing should explain this more clearly, because its description felt a little misleading. The decor feels dated, especially in the kitchen. It's a shame, since it could be updated, and an Italo-Sardinian theme could be nice. There was tea but no instant coffee, and no colander for draining pasta or rice. The kitchen items, including the oil and spices, were expired. The outdoor area could use more care, as the plants are starting to grow over the terrace. For bedding, there were no duvets, and sheets and mattress protectors were missing for some of us. The bathroom and toilet aren't in a separate area, so you have to go through the bedroom to reach them. There were only two toilet rolls for four people for three days, and the bathroom has no window. The pool itself is pleasant, but there should be loungers nearby. They're down in front of the pool instead. I was very disappointed with the jacuzzi: the water was cloudy and it didn't look clean, so I stayed in for just five minutes. I'm not sure the pump was running properly.

Françoise gave us a lovely welcome during our two nights at Villa Sarda, and she was an outstanding, friendly host. We were surprised to find a bed with a mosquito net when we arrived 😲, which is really nice in summer. The jacuzzi was great too. It's a cottage worth discovering, close to Montelimar. We ate at the innkeeper's place in Marsanne, and it was super good. Thanks, Françoise.

We found parking easily on the property, and the kitchen had plenty of equipment. There was also a washing machine, and the extra jacuzzi area was a nice addition. The villa itself was beautiful and comfortable, with a big living space split between the kitchen and dining area and a separate sofa and TV space. The bedroom gets natural light from above and has a child's bed, which makes the place suitable for families. From the bedroom, there's access to a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower. A large bay window opens onto the terrace, which is a lovely spot for breakfast. Below it, the garden has sun loungers for relaxing in the sun and cooling off in the pool on hot days. The Drôme has lovely scenery, charming villages, and wide open natural spaces for hiking. Highly recommended!
