The room was small for the price, about the size of one at an Ibis Styles hotel. The toilet and shower doors were always in the way, the shower pressure was weak, and the towels smelled as if they hadn’t been washed with laundry soap. Even so, we’d stay again. We’ve stayed at hundreds of European hotels from one to five stars, and this place ranks among the best apart from a few shortcomings. The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially Ines at check-in. The room had good air conditioning, though it was programmed to shut off periodically, good lighting, decent Wi-Fi that sometimes disappeared, a good shower, and a comfortable bed. The property and room were clean, and restaurants were within walking distance.

We picked it purely for convenience for a quick first night after landing in France, and it did the job. It’s a health spa hotel, and we might have tried some of the treatments if we’d had longer. Judging by all the guests in white robes at breakfast, there were plenty of appointments booked.

We skipped breakfast because we left early for the ferry. The bedroom was fine, average in size, with a good sized, comfortable bed, and the spa was nice. My husband and I stayed one night before catching the ferry home the next morning. The location is great, right by the beach and close to shops and restaurants. Free parking was a bonus.

The seawater spa pool was very comfortable, and we enjoyed an aquagym session with the lovely elderly guests, led by a professional coach. The room and surroundings were nice, with restaurants within walking distance. Not all the staff speak English, but everyone was very welcoming.

The food sent to our room was disgusting and extremely overpriced. Because of Covid, the hotel offered a set menu delivered to the room, but the portions were tiny, like a kid’s meal, and there was no seasoning. I won’t even get into the breakfast. I think a formule 1 hôtel could do better. We spent a short weekend here, and our “OCEAN view room” should really have been called a “ WALL view room” !!! Charging for an ocean view room like that is ridiculous. The hotel was badly maintained, so I have no idea how it could be rated four stars. Two stars at most. Terrible, terrible, terrible stay !!!
