The place is small but cosy, and the design isn’t perfect, though it does the job. It was clean and had most utilities, including a microwave and coffee maker. The TVs are small, so bring your own entertainment. Beds were pretty comfortable and the bathrooms well kept. It’s 20-30 minutes by car to the beach, and really close to the tourist town. A good experience overall.

The owner came over within five minutes and welcomed us to the apartment after we forgot to call before arriving. There’s no formal reception, so that was our mistake. Everything was impeccably clean, neat, and tidy. We had an excellent night’s stay, and the jacuzzi was a definite plus that made the night so much better.

The city is so charming it looks like it was designed by Disney. We stayed just a couple of nights in this centuries-old place that’s been newly remodeled. The owner was very responsive, and we managed despite barely speaking French and his English being only a little better. He also made a restaurant reservation for us, which I don’t think we could have managed ourselves. Highly recommend!

Villa des Ursulines is wonderfully situated in Bayeux, an incredible town and one of the best places to stay for touring Normandy. It’s easy to walk to restaurants, the Cathedral, and the Bayeux tapestry. Two things kept this from a five-star rating: there’s no dedicated parking, so you have to find a street spot, though you should eventually find one near the park. Also, there weren’t enough towels, and they weren’t big enough. Would we stay again? Absolutely.

A modern apartment in an old building, with lots of charm and a great location in Bayeux. The accommodation was very comfortable, with a large bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen is compact, so it has limited utility.
