Belle Normandy

It’s a charming little hotel in lovely Bayeux, with history and beauty all around. From here, it’s a short walk to the cathedral, shops, and many restaurants. Our room was large, comfortable, and nicely appointed, and breakfast was great. The whole staff was welcoming and so helpful, always checking whether we needed help getting around or booking dinner reservations. We had a wonderful experience.

The team made the stay especially nice. They helped with our bags, shared sightseeing ideas, and were just lovely to chat with. The hotel itself is picturesque from the outside, only a few steps from central Bayeux, and has modern, practical, comfortable rooms. Four of us fit comfortably for two nights, with a roomy bathroom and a cozy living area. We only wished we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend.

Breakfast each morning was delicious, and the staff were so friendly and attentive. They also handled our laundry and even got a stain out of my dad’s jacket that I was convinced would never come out. The hotel is beautiful and an easy walk from both the cathedral and the Bayeux Tapestry.

I’ve been back several times, and Belle Normandy has been fantastic on every stay. It’s easy to walk to the shops, restaurants, tapestry and cathedral, and there’s secure parking on site. The rooms are spacious, updated and gorgeous, with big showers. Breakfast has French charm but enough to satisfy Americans who like a hearty start to the day. I can’t recommend Belle Normandy enough.
