hotelF1 Bayonne

It’s on the highway, but the location is handy for fast food places, and the room was decent for the price. The annoying part was being told we couldn’t refill our water bottles from the kitchen tap. I mean, that shouldn’t cost anything? Haha.

The pillows were really thin, and we could hear everything outside the bedroom. On the plus side, it was clean, well located, and the breakfast was decent for the price. Check-in was easy at any hour.

I’ve stayed here twice in the last month and can’t see why the ratings are so low. It’s a good place to stop while travelling. I booked an en suite room with my dog; it was quiet, mostly clean, and restful. Breakfast is simple but worthwhile, and the service is friendly. The location isn’t glamorous, but that’s how this chain works, it’s picked for convenience to travellers. The bathroom was perfectly clean and well maintained. I’d give five stars if the bedroom floor got a better clean between guests. It would only take two minutes. Definitely worth a stop on a long trip, especially with a pet.

I was so disgusted by the shower and toilet that, despite having breakfast included, I wouldn’t have eaten it. I was leaving early and there was no option to have breakfast prepared ahead for takeaway. The shower cubicles were caked in grime and something else I’d rather not describe. There was dried urine on the toilet seats, and the alcohol spray provided for the toilets was clearly needed. Grime on the doors, locks, and walls looked like it had been there for days or even weeks. I’ve stayed at F1 hotels before, and they were much cleaner.
