The biggest problem was the bathroom: its sliding doors open up the room, which I liked, but they’re two-way glass, one panel mirrored and the other see-through. You can see right through from the bedroom, which got awkward when staying with family. There was sometimes a slight damp smell, the twin beds weren’t the most comfortable, and one blind wouldn’t open, leaving the room a bit dark during the day. Still, I had an incredible stay. It felt like entering a luxury spa villa, and for the price in March it was hard to beat. Service and finishing touches were incredible. Thanks to the staff, I hope to return very soon.

The suite was comfortable, stylishly modern, and very quiet. Villa Koegui is a lovely downtown Bayonne hotel, and the staff were courteous and helpful. It’s convenient for exploring Bayonne on foot or by public transport. Breakfast was quite good, though even an hour before closing we had to ask for some empty dishes to be refilled. A couple of details could be fixed: the shower door didn’t close properly and hit a hanger, which may have caused the problem. Also, when we left at 11:54, six minutes before checkout, our card was already deactivated, so we couldn’t get back in for one last check. It should only stop working when returned at the desk.

The breakfast buffet was nice, though I’d prefer coffee and tea brought to the table. The machine drinks never seem hot enough and cool down right away. I also wish the room had a minibar, though staff would store things for you if needed. The location in Bayonne is wonderful, the wifi signal strong, and the new bathroom very nice. Comfortable bed and lovely linens. I’d recommend it and stay again.

The beds were fabulous, and the decor gave the hotel a warm, comfortable feel. Big thanks to Maeva and the front desk team, who were so helpful during my stay. A wonderful boutique hotel.

The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. They even offered to call around on our behalf to find out which pharmacies were open on Sunday. The rooms are spacious, modern, and well appointed, and the hotel is well located and reasonably priced. If you’re looking for a hotel in Bayonne, I’d highly recommend this one.
