T3 de charme au coeur de Bayonne

We had a comfortable, very clean room, and the shower had strong pressure and plenty of hot water. The staff were friendly and spoke English, and breakfast was good value. The hotel is also well placed, close to the train station and just a short walk over the bridge to Bayonne’s old town, with lots of cafés, restaurants, and bars nearby. I’d happily recommend it.

The room was simple, lovely, and surprisingly spacious. The elevator is tiny, but at least there is one! It’s very convenient for the train station. Getting to the Cathedral and Bayonne’s old centre takes a bit of a walk, though it’s a nice one. I stayed here before setting off on the Camino Baztanes and really enjoyed it. 😊

We’d stay here again. It’s easy to walk across the river into central Bayonne, and the price is very reasonable. The hotel is right across from the Bayonne Train Station, with a comfortable bed and a pleasant woman at reception. Need a hair dryer? Just ask, they keep some behind the desk.

The hotel is an easy walk from the railway station to the town’s shops and places to eat. I stayed four nights, and these are mostly little observations. My room’s floor sloped quite noticeably, which felt odd first thing in the morning. There’s a small folding desk, but only a backless stool to sit on. I wanted somewhere to write and, since there’s no lounge, a proper chair would’ve helped. With the desk open, the curtains won’t close unless you lay them over it. The shower worked fine, though there was nowhere to put soap, either on a shelf or the floor. Breakfast was okay, but nothing hot was served apart from toast. They also ask guests not to flush toilet paper, and provide a small bin for it, which I found nasty. The building is old, but the place is nice enough.
