In the village of bazoges en pareds, you’re just steps from the striking donjon tower and the lovely church. The garden is fully enclosed, with two pools, swings, a netball hoop and a small trampoline. One pool is by the house for small children, while the larger one is for adults and older children. A parent needs to supervise these activities. Sadly, dogs aren’t allowed. The building looks old on the outside, maybe from around 1870, but the inside is modern. There are three beautiful ensuite bedrooms, each with a dining table, air conditioning and a mini fridge. Out back, there’s seating with views of the donjon and fields toward the next village, plus lots of little corners for reading or relaxing. There’s also an apartment for six, clean, cool and equipped for a holiday away from home. Parking is available.

The view from the rooms is superb, and the garden is a lovely place to relax. The cottage is excellent, and the owner gives a very warm welcome, though they speak only English. I highly recommend it.
