Hostellerie du Lion d'Or

The service was attentive and always there when needed, and the prices felt reasonable for such good food. We had a delicious, truly sublime meal, and the quality of the cooking stood out. The place itself is lovely and welcoming, with a friendly reception. For me, it’s the best restaurant in Beaumont-le-Roger. 💯👍

The mussels were the highlight for me, though the rai was delicious too. I don't have a photo of the mussels, but I wish I did. The chef is a real virtuoso, and the kitchen is the standout here. We had a very pleasant stay, even with the rooms under renovation. If you’re after something excellent to eat, I highly recommend it.

The cooking was a real highlight: Éric Roy uses fresh, local ingredients, comes up with original recipes, and serves generous portions. It’s all homemade. We spent three nights on half-board, and Room 1 was modern, spacious, comfortable, and quiet. Everything was there and worked, including the heating, which was great for anyone sensitive to the cold. A lovely place to get away, just 1.5 hours from Paris. They deserve to be better known. Congratulations on the warm welcome.

We were only passing through, but the warm, professional welcome made me want to come back for a longer, relaxing half-board stay. The room was spotless, impeccable, and particularly well equipped. I’m saving the address for next time, and can’t wait to try the food.
