I’d booked a cottage three months ahead for a wedding with seven people. A month later, the manager said it would be closed and offered another cottage. I said yes, but asked for its description and link before confirming. He never sent them. For the next month I tried the answering machine, email, and text, with no reply. Ten days before the stay, when the second payment was due, I messaged yet again to ask which cottage we had. Patrice cancelled the accommodation without answering. He runs four cottages in town and had blocked those dates across them, so I couldn’t rebook elsewhere. I only heard back after warning him I’d report his profile. Patrice then called me “my dear lady” in an aggressive, sexist way and made discriminatory comments about my living in Paris, including “your hatred coming from Parisian stress” and “looking down on him from my Parisian tower.” Shameful.
