Chez Marie

Marie is a super host and very helpful with little things, like renting bikes and giving advice on what to visit. Breakfast always came with fresh orange juice and a fresh croissant. The price is very fair for such a good location, less than a 10-minute walk from every Beaune spot.

We could walk all around Beaune easily from here, and the place was still quiet, right by the edge of the central area. It’s a tiny B&B with just three rooms. Our room was nicely decorated and had its own bathroom, with about the space you’d expect in a European hotel room. The breakfast room felt cozy and welcoming, and there’s a lovely garden courtyard with a dining table. Marie and her family were excellent hosts.

After nearly two days on the road with very little sleep, our car broke down and we arrived late at night. Veronique took charge of making sure the problem was handled while also welcoming us and looking after everything we needed. She went well beyond what was expected, and we appreciated it so much. The accommodation was wonderful, and so was breakfast.

Marie was a really helpful host and speaks English. We had a peaceful, cozy stay, with the city centre an easy walk away. If the weather’s suitable, breakfast is served outside. We’d gladly recommend staying here.
