Hotel Le Home

We stopped in Beaune for the night on Saturday, May 27, on our way to Alpe d'HuZes. After spotting Hotel le Home, we called and were told by a very friendly man that a room was available. When we arrived, our host "Flo" greeted us. I’ve rarely met someone so welcoming and kind. The hotel itself has a lovely, characterful French feel, with a touch of baroque style. Our room was fine, the bed and shower were good, and everything worked. We had breakfast in the sunny garden the next morning. Don’t come expecting modern luxury, come for the romance. We enjoyed the short stay and will return. Thanks again, Flo!

Le Home has a warm atmosphere and a lovely rustic look in the rooms. The cushions were especially good, too. There’s free wifi, indoor parking, and a generous breakfast served wherever you like. It’s just off the A6, with a 10-minute walk to the picturesque city of Beaune. We stayed there on our way south in June 2015.

The staff were friendly and shared lots of recommendations, but we left disappointed. The photos make the hotel look much nicer than it is, and the value for money felt far too low. The rooms need freshening up, and the reception area is grubby and worn.

It’s about a 15-minute walk to central Beaune, so getting around on foot is manageable, even if you’re very drunk and out of it. Some rooms had their own separate parking spaces. The rooms were a little old-fashioned, unfortunately.
