voco Beaune – Cité des Vins by IHG

The staff were the real highlight, some of the nicest people you could hope to meet. They’re real hoteliers who understand hospitality, and they were especially kind and affectionate with our dog Nika, who was a star there. This place really is dog friendly. We loved the property, the room and bed were very comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and dinner was a great pleasure. We were extremely pleased with our stay and highly recommend it.

The location isn’t the most convenient, but most things you need are only a short drive away. We found the rooms a good size, very clean, and well soundproofed, and the amenities felt luxurious enough for a wine trip. Everything is beautifully decorated and refurbished, and the comfortable stay really added to our Burgundy experience. For a new hotel, they’re getting a lot right. Some locals and winemakers may not be entirely on board with it, but as a foreigner without any preconceptions, I found it more than sufficient.

We only stopped for one night. The price and quality are good, and our room on the river side felt very cosy. It’s great for a family with kids, with a big room, a shower, and everything new. The hotel isn’t bad.

At 2:00 AM, a loud, repetitive noise started in my room and kept returning every few seconds all night. I recorded it, and I couldn’t sleep at all. My stay at voco Beaune – Cité des Vins was extremely disappointing. At checkout, I reported the problem to the front desk and showed them the video. They said the manager was on vacation and that I’d get an email about compensation when they returned. It’s been more than two weeks, and I still haven’t heard anything. The lack of follow-up and accountability is unacceptable and shows disregard for guest comfort and customer service. I strongly advise future travelers to reconsider staying here.
