Camping Les Pommiers du Mont St Michel

The pitches away from the road were genuinely peaceful, though small. The bathrooms were clean, but cold and unheated in the off-season. Showers were only lukewarm, the pressure was low, and the temperature couldn't be adjusted. Sink and dishwashing water could be changed from cold to mildly warm. At €30.10 a night for one person without electricity, it felt rather expensive, and I probably wouldn't return.

The place was clean and perfectly located for our two nights in early July. Mont St Michele is a lovely walk along the path, and there's a wonderful restaurant just outside the main gate. We didn't try the restaurant on site, which was almost always empty. We gave up trying to get a drink at the bar because the service was too slow. The pool area is small, mostly for kids, with very few loungers, and you can't really swim there. Nice for a night or two, but I wouldn't stay longer.

The park has modern, clean amenities and a heated pool, which we really appreciated. Mr Carlos at Reception was super helpful and knew the area well, including a great restaurant recommendation. We rented bikes and took the canal trail to the Mont after lunch, then went back at 10 pm for sunset and again at 6am for sunrise. Just magnificent. Couldn't recommend this place more highly if you're visiting the Mont St. Michel.

A nice little town with restaurants and such. The walkway and cycleway are just across the road, and the Mont is extremely close. We had a very nice stay in our motorhome.
