Hôtel Rose

We walked to Mont St. Michel on our first day, then rented bikes and rode there the next. The boardwalk behind the hotel takes you straight up to it. Our room was quaint and had everything we needed, and the owners were lovely, with plenty of helpful suggestions for sightseeing and meals. We had a fantastic stay and can’t recommend it enough.

We booked this place for the location and fair price, and were really impressed by how warm and attentive the staff were. The man who welcomed us took care with all his advice, including parking costs and opening times. He also shared QR codes for maps to Saint Malo with stops at places we wouldn’t have found on our own. The room matched the website description, though rooms beside the river get hot in the afternoon sun. Fans and blackout curtains would help with that. We’d give the hotel and staff 10 out of 10.

It’s a family-run two-star hotel with service that feels five-star. Everyone was so friendly, and it’s about a 4 km walk to Mont Saint Michel. Loved our stay!

The brothers running Hotel Rose were so helpful, and the family staff made us feel very welcome. We loved the gite and restaurant, and the food was excellent. The sister also runs a cool restaurant across the way for lunch and dinner. There’s plenty of knowledge here about Mont Saint Michel and French history. Mon Ami Hotel Rose, we’ll come back soon!
