La Maison De Bécaras

We wouldn't recommend staying here. The welcome was cold, and on arrival it wasn't clear where to go. The rooms are in a separate section upstairs on the first floor. There was a lot of leaf debris, especially after rain. The owners' house could only be used for breakfast, which was basic. The bike shed was just a laundry room with barely enough space, and its refrigerator was crammed with food belonging to the owners and other guests. There was no air conditioning in the rooms. We stayed in 2024, and with 40 degrees Celsius in August this year, it would have been unbearable. The village is about a 10-minute walk away, and the hosts mostly occupied the swimming pool.

We were six adults and all felt very comfortable here. The house is spacious and furnished in a tasteful, modern style, with attractive rooms and en-suite bathrooms in four of the five bedrooms. The kitchen has loads of room and utensils, so we hardly had to improvise while cooking. There’s a generous garden where we could play badminton without getting in anyone’s way, and the pool is a comfortable size. We can picture renting the house again, even with children.

We had a wonderful week at La Maison de Bécaras. The house is superb, with a magnificent view of Mont Ventoux, and the owners were very welcoming and always available.

We spent a short week here as a couple, cycling and enjoying Bedoin. The sunrise view over the vineyards from our room was lovely, and the room and bed were fantastic. Breakfast came with homemade pastries, and we got excellent restaurant recommendations. There’s also a dedicated place to park bikes. We’ll be back.
