Hotel le president GARE TGV NIMES PONT DU GARD

The air conditioning never worked during our stay. When we mentioned it, staff shrugged and said they'd fix it later, but nothing was done. They were rude from the moment we arrived, and it felt as if they simply didn't like foreigners, which makes little sense for a hotel. The food was poor too, and mosquitoes were everywhere, inside and out. This was the worst hotel I've ever visited. I'd look elsewhere.

The pool was fantastic, and our rooms were clean and fun, though the showers splashed water everywhere. Most of the staff were great. The blonde woman at the bar didn't seem pleased to be there, but the male bartender was wonderful, funny, and friendly. We managed full conversations despite the language barrier. I'll definitely come back once I've learned his language.

We had a lovely stay. The owners are so kind, the rooms are clean and a good size, and the pool is pretty. They even make the croissants and pains au chocolat themselves!

We arrived with a booking for that night, but the hotel was closed and there was no way to get in. When we called reception, they said they had no rooms despite our confirmed reservation. The receptionist was rude and kept repeating that check-in was impossible because they were full. Recent reviews make it seem they may be known for deliberate overbooking. If you need to count on having a room when you arrive, don't waste your time here.
