We were stranded in France after a car accident, and the hosts went out of their way to help my son and me. They collected and stored all our equipment, then even made us a packed lunch when we left. Their kindness was unconditional. The rooms were lovely too, in a beautiful rustic French hotel. I wholeheartedly recommend it. Thanks for everything, Nasara! I hope I spelled that right.

For €60 a night, we got a small bedroom with three beds, not the private apartment advertised on Booking.com. The kitchen and shower were shared with other guests. The bathroom and toilet finishing also looked like amateur DIY work. I’d skip this place.

The breakfast was poor, the renovation unfinished, and the property sits in an industrial area. There’s no reception. Avoid it.

Ferme De Coron is a thoughtfully modernized old farmhouse, done with style and good taste. It feels quite rural, yet supermarkets and other handy amenities are surprisingly close. The Rhône-Alpes setting also makes it convenient for Annecy, Geneva, and a range of outdoor and other activities.
