We especially love the restaurant and the garden with its swimming pool, such a restful place. Irene and Michael treat their guests in such a friendly way. This is one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in France.

The access from the car park was difficult, with a steep slope and lots of steps. It would be impossible for someone using a wheelchair. But once inside, there’s a lift, and the lovely rooms look out over the garden and town. The restaurant was very good too. I loved the hotel once I’d got in.

We got a warm welcome, and it was a great first trip to France, though I still need to learn the language. There weren’t any grab handles by the toilet or in the bath or shower, and the toilet seat was broken, something that should have been noticed during cleaning. There were no tea-making facilities in the room.

The room had tea and coffee-making equipment, but no tea or coffee. Dinner was quite modest in quality, with no choice of food or serving time, which was fixed at 7:30 pm. Breakfast didn’t include any hot option.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Armoric. The owners made us feel incredibly welcome, were helpful, and spoke excellent English. The staff were friendly too. Jill and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
