The cottage was charming and fine for a short stay, and there was plenty of hot water for a bath. I imagine it would be nice in summer, but I was cold there for a few nights. The radiator felt warm, though not hot. There’s a wood burner for winter, so you’ll need to bring kindling and logs and plan ahead if you’re visiting in the cold season.

The room is cosy and suits the surroundings, with a little outdoor space of its own. It’s quite basic but clean, and the king-size bed made for a good night’s sleep. Just be ready for a few holes in the wall and an old well in the kitchen. The building is based around an old hut.

We all slept well here, thanks to the excellent bedding, and the upper-floor accommodation was a good size. The kitchen was practical and very well equipped, while the house stayed warm and the fireplace added a nice touch. The large bathtub was lovely, and we especially enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi in February. The stone house is beautiful and full of charm. We had a peaceful weekend with the family, and the fenced garden meant I could let my dog off leash safely. Pets are welcome, and the owner was attentive and available. I highly recommend it.

Le Petit Fort is peaceful despite being very close to the beaches, and the owner, who lives on-site, gave us great tips for exploring the area. The place is pretty and has been beautifully renovated. We had a wonderful weekend, and it’s a great fit for families with children. I’d highly recommend it for anyone after a relaxing weekend getaway.
