Clos d'Argenson

Pascale and Estelle were the best part, such friendly, fun people who made the stay feel special. Lovely hotel and plenty of space, in a perfect location. Highly recommend!

Breakfast was generous, homemade and delicious, and the location made it easy to walk to restaurants in Bergerac. We stayed three nights in June 2024 in a beautifully restored house with lovely gardens and gracious owners and staff. Our room was in the garden across from the pool. The bed and linens were excellent, and the shower was great, though the toilet and shower area felt a little cramped. They also provided lovely soaps. Wi-Fi was unreliable and often unavailable, which brought down my room rating. Still, this is an excellent place to stay, and we recommend it.

Breakfast was fantastic, with what felt like an endless stream of delicious French dishes, and the service was just as good. The hosts were charming and helpful, even letting my wife and me work in the lounge after checkout. Our dog was welcome, and they gave us good dinner suggestions. There’s a locked garage with three parking spaces, plus an honesty bar with a nice range of local wines. The pool area is lovely, though the water was cold. A beautiful, traditional hotel right in central Bergerac, inside and out.

We spent two nights in a spacious, lovely room by the pool. The old house is gorgeous, with modern comforts, and Anne-Marie and Francois were kind and generous hosts. With its garden and swimming pool, this B&B feels like a peaceful haven in the middle of the city, a welcome place to unwind after exploring the area. We’ll stay longer next time.
