Logis Hôtel et Restaurant Ludik

The hotel is quiet, has a pool, and is packed with board games. The staff were amazing and very friendly, and the owner even played a game with me. We ate at the restaurant twice and really enjoyed the food, especially the chicken burger, chicken with sweet potato mash, and chocolate praline tart. The decor inside is very cool too. It’s off a main road, so you’ll need a car or taxi to get here, but there’s plenty of parking.

We booked two rooms for six of us, with three more rooms for the rest of our family group. Everything was very clean, including the pool, which was just right on a hot afternoon. The staff were amazing, and most of us had steak at the restaurant. It was delicious. A lovely hotel at a very reasonable price. Thank you.

Our Saturday evening flight was cancelled, and the hotel was suddenly asked to take in 50 tired, hungry passengers. They responded with such professionalism and care, even putting together a wonderful three-course dinner at the last minute. The staff and management handled it with a great spirit of service. It’s a charming hotel with real attention to detail and very good service. We’d certainly recommend it for a visit to Bergerac or a flight from the airport.

The hotel itself was OK, but I’d steer clear of the restaurant. For lunch, head up the road to the Jardiland garden centre. Our dinner was overpriced and didn’t feel very French: burgers, moussaka, tacos, brownies and crumble were among the choices. The cheese on the plateau de fromage was cut so thin you could almost see through it. The hotel belongs to the Logis hotels group, formerly Logis de France, and their book called the restaurant gourmand. It really isn’t.
