Le Clos des Lodges

The pool was a lifesaver during the heat wave, and Ingrid even found a secure spot for my bike. She was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I stayed in June 2022, and I'm only getting around to writing this now because I forgot. I like to leave good reviews when small business owners deserve them. The building had recently been thoroughly renovated, so everything was new and modern. It's about a 10 minute walk to Bernay's town center, with shops, cafés, restaurants and other essentials. Bernay is a lovely medieval town, well placed for visiting nearby sights, including pretty towns, scenic country roads and châteaux. There's also a direct train to Paris, about 1-1/2 hours each way, with round trip tickets around 60 euros. I'm sure I'll come back and keep exploring the region. I can't think of anything I disliked. I'll stay here again next time I'm in the area. Anyone who finds fault with the place is probably just an unhappy camper.

We’ve stayed here 4-5 times, and the latest improvements have made a good place even better. The new pool is amazing. They had breakfast ready early for us before our crossing, and nothing felt like too much trouble. Didn't expect it could improve this much, but it did. We'll be back 😁

Such a cozy place, and the room was super clean. I asked if they could heat something up for us, even though that wasn't included, and they did it with the loveliest smile. There's a pool and a relaxing area with billiards. Dogs are welcome too, so it's going on my recommendation list.

A good place for a stopover, with a spacious, clean room and help-yourself breakfast. The center is an easy walk away for food and drinks.
