ibis Besançon Centre La City

There are a few things that could use attention, like refreshing the hotel, the bad smell in the corridor, and keeping the breakfast buffet stocked. Still, the reception staff were friendly, the beds were comfortable, and parking was available, though the entrance is narrow. It's fine for a couple of nights if you don't expect too much, and the location is good.

We ate at the restaurant and liked the food, which was delicious and fairly priced. The staff were very friendly and efficient, and the hotel looked modern when we walked in. You need a code from reception to enter the parking lot, and getting in involves an extremely tight turn. I only took off a star because our room stayed hot even with the air conditioning on.

The hotel is in a great location, but one night was enough for us. We found hair on a nightstand and pills under the bed. I'm glad I spotted them before my 11-month-old could get to them. The bathroom could have been cleaner too. The room was very small for two adults and a baby, and it stayed very hot with the air conditioner running all night. Better air ventilation would help. We slept there for just one night, thank God. The reservation was under my man's name.

We had a good rate, and the employees were friendly and professional in a great location. The breakfast wasn't consistent: Sunday was fine, but Monday was poorer, with a rubbery pain au chocolat and not enough bread. There are some small things to fix too. The outside patio needs a power wash, the USB A socket in the wall didn't work, the bedside lights don't match, and the TV remote kept malfunctioning.
