I've had great stays at lots of Ibis Styles hotels, but I'd avoid this one at all costs. The night shift woman at the desk, with curly hair and glasses, was sarcastic and rude on the phone before I arrived. I was having trouble booking through booking.com, so I called reception, and she said she didn't know because she didn't own booking.com. The first room she gave me was dark and awful, and the lights weren't working properly. I went back downstairs and she moved me to another room, which was better. Then she said, “you can say thank you.” I was annoyed because I had to move floors with all my bags and bring the first key card back. I said she should apologize for the inconvenience. She called me a not nice person. I told her she'd been rude on the phone too and that I'd speak to the manager. She stormed into a back room. When I went out to the car for the rest of my things, she came out the back door soon after and laughed loudly with her coworkers in French. I thought they were probably talking about me. If I hadn't been so tired, I would have got a refund and left. I'll never stay there again.

The people were super friendly, and it was a pleasant stay. The rooms were good, and breakfast was nice.

Parking was the best part. The room was passable, but the restaurant and service were poor. The bar and restaurant staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, and there's little else nearby.

The pool area was beautiful, and my daughter and I enjoyed the entertainment, especially billiards. The location is far from everything, though, and breakfast was mediocre. When my wife, daughter, and I first entered our assigned room, it smelled strongly of cigarettes. I asked for a different room, but the hotel was full and staff could only offer odor eliminator spray. Since I have asthma, I didn't want more chemicals on top of the smoke. The staff were a mixed bag. One gentleman was incredibly friendly and seemed to genuinely care. When I said the room was hot, he offered a fan, and my wife had been thinking about sleeping in the lobby. Usually we'd have changed hotels straight away, but it was already late, and our daughter had the French Championship climbing competition at 7 am the next day. Finding another place at short notice didn't seem practical.

Food was excellent and the service was good. It's a decent hotel for a stopover, and I'd definitely recommend it.
