The area is great for hiking, and the downhill biking looked awesome. The people were nice and the apartment was tidy, though tidy isn't the same as clean. I stayed in a first-floor apartment that felt cheap, with a poor view. There was phone and internet reception all over the park's mountains except here, so don't count on getting internet in the apartment.

Great views and friendly staff make this a lovely place for skiing or snowboarding. Ski hire and a pass are relatively inexpensive too. One of France's best kept secrets. I love it here.

The room was dirty and there weren't enough bedsheets. Parking outside was too small, but parking inside cost 10 euros a day. Wi-Fi also came at an extra charge. Why pay for a room if you can't even get internet?
