Agape Hotel

Pel, the assistant Director, was so helpful. She pointed me toward plenty of restaurants in Niort centre and even arranged a room change. She really went out of her way for me. The staff were great, and the pool was clean. The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable, with easy free parking and good bar, pool and restaurant choices. I only stayed one night, but I loved it. I got 10.5 hours of uninterrupted sleep, then woke up feeling brand-new after a fantastic french breakfast. For a 2 star hotel, this place deserves 5 stars. I hope to come back soon.

The buffet breakfast was decent in both quality and quantity, and well worth the 8euros. We also liked the pretty pool area, but the sauna was the standout for me. It was modern, spotless and private. A little small, though perfect for two. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable, with a great shower. It was slightly small, but still roomy enough. We were there for one night in July, and the service made the stay especially enjoyable. The staff member looking after us went well beyond what was expected. Thanks as well to the friendly person who was so accommodating. I rarely write hotel reviews, but we were grateful for such lovely service. We had a great time and would gladly return. This charming hotel deserves another star, in my opinion.

Handy spot just outside Niort City for reaching the main roads. The bed was comfortable and breakfast basic. The rooms felt gloomy and dark. It's rated 2 stars, and that seems about right.
