Hotel Eden

The breakfasts are excellent, and I’d strongly recommend having one. The Grand Place is about 200m away, with shops, bars and restaurants close by. Patricia and her team always give a warm welcome, including her lovely dog, Rafa. I’ve stayed three times at Hotel Eden and had no booking or service problems, even when I booked at short notice. On two trips, bike trouble made me arrive later than planned. I contacted Patricia in my very poor French, and she was helpful and understanding both times. Rooms are comfortable and clean. On my last visit I tried a "superieur" room, which was a little bigger than the budget rooms and had a large wet room. There’s no air con, which might bother some people, though it didn’t bother me. If you’re cycling or riding a motorcycle, you can park in the courtyard. There’s also a car park next door to the hotel on Place de la Republique. It’s a splendid place in a charming town. The hotel owners were around during the day and couldn’t do enough for us, always checking everything was okay. Our rooms were clean and spacious, and some have a jacuzzi bath. We came by motorcycle, and there’s secure space for bikes in the courtyard. There were seven motorcycles when we stayed, with room for a couple more. The town square, with lots of bars and restaurants, is a two-minute walk away. Booking communication was excellent, and quick replies made the changes I needed easy. Car drivers can use an underground car park a couple of minutes away. There’s also parking outside the hotel, but it has various restrictions. I’ll book here again next year.

Merci. We had a fantastic two days rallying in Bethune and stayed here. It was clean and modern, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Right in the center, with easy access to the main roads. I’ll definitely book again when I’m staying in Bethune. X

A cozy, nice hotel in Bethune, clean and close to town. There are a couple of downsides, though. Reception closes after 10 pm, which feels very early. They also forgot to leave water in my room. When I called around midnight to ask for some, they said they were closed, so that was a problem.
