We’ve tried both rooms already and plan to come back. The owners are lovely, and the huge bed is so comfortable you wake up feeling rested. Breakfast arrives at your door on a tray, and there’s plenty of it. The whole place feels magnificent, from the rooms to all the thoughtful little touches. It’s a historic home just steps from the Belfry and city center, and the owner welcomes you warmly and tells you about the house’s past. Thank you to the owners.

The room and location are beautiful, and Brigitte welcomed us impeccably. But the spa hygiene was deeply disappointing. I showed the person a video timestamp, yet he kept insisting it had been cleaned and questioning whether we’d used creams or left it sitting all night. We hadn’t even used the spa. The conversation felt incredibly bad faith, and the man who slammed the door as I left really spoiled an otherwise charming place. I’ve reviewed hotels and restaurants on Maps in many places I’ve traveled, and I’ve never experienced anything like this. €200 a night for that level of hygiene. I’ve read your response, though it can’t be replied to. The room was €120 a night, with another €75 for a dirty spa. You say other guests, but there are only three reviews here. Compare those with the 95 I’ve written. I’ve only criticized two establishments for bad faith, including yours. I’m a critic, not a cook, though you’re welcome to look through our trash. I’ll also include a photo of your Airbnb review, which contradicts this one. My wife couldn’t bear to react yesterday. We were between two trips and wanted to enjoy our time, and draining, refilling, and heating the spa wouldn’t have been enough anyway. We didn’t ask for a refund. We’d rather avoid this sort of unacceptable behavior in tourism. If I’d just wanted to criticize for no reason, I would’ve waited until after leaving 🤷‍♂️

The room was roomy, with a spa, and spotless. Jeremy and Gwendoline gave us a really warm welcome. It’s a peaceful, magical spot in the middle of Béthune, and breakfast was both delicious and very generous.

We stayed in the Fernand Bar room, with lovely garden views, tasteful decor, and comfortable, good-quality bedding. Gwendoline made us feel very welcome, and breakfast was excellent. This beautiful historic residence sits right on Place du Beffroi. Thank you, Gwendoline.
