Le Pressoir

Sylvie took the time to show us things to see and do on a map, which I really appreciated. She was a terrific host and put in a lot of effort to make our weekend as nice as possible. My friend and I stayed at Le Pressoir, and everything was perfect. Our room was beautiful, charming and clean. Breakfast was included, and Sylvie laid out a beautiful spread on both mornings. I hope to stay here again! :)

Breakfast was a real Norman petit déjeuner discovery. Sylvie laid out a varied selection of local food, much of it new to us, including excellent 'cremeux orange,' perfect lemon curd and jams, local apple juice, a croissant in baguette form and all sorts of local breads. She set the dining table in a different colour theme each day, and the morning sun came through the cottage windows. Our ground floor room was attractive, decorated in white and pale grey, with lovely cotton pillows and a duvet on a wonderfully comfortable queen-sized bed. Sylvie refreshed the room and left new mineral water every day. She was also very helpful with suggestions for places to go, including an outstanding lunch at Au P'tit Normand at Cambremer. Truly memorable. Merci, madame! Sylvie and her husband Pascal have made a home and garden full of fresh flowers. If the evening sky is clear, you can see the sunset from the loungers at the top of the garden. The area is wonderfully peaceful and green, with apple orchards in blossom at the end of April, calm Normande cattle or race horses in the meadows, and wild flowers and orchids along the verges. We were warmly welcomed by Sylvie on arrival at this exceptional property, on the edge of the picture postcard medieval village of Beuvron-en-Auge in the heart of the Pays d’Auge in Normandy. We had an excellent evening at Le Pressoir, with a very warm welcome from Mr. and Mrs. The room had superb decor and a very comfortable bed. Their advice made our trip to Pont-l'Évêque and La Droguerie well worthwhile. Thank you for everything. We highly recommend this place.
