Camping La Célestine

The tent pitches are covered in a mix of stones and cement, so everything ends up white. The showers are frustrating too: some don't let you adjust the temperature, and the spray reaches the door, leaving your clothes wet if you haven't put them somewhere safe. There are no trash cans in the toilet room, by the dishwashing area, or anywhere else you'd need one. Also, be ready for extra charges for services you didn't request when booking, like electricity. We won't be coming back.

We were looking for somewhere quiet to get away from the city, and this place suited us well. We went in June, before the pool had opened, so there wasn't much to do, but the river gave the kids somewhere to wander and play. The campsite is also fairly close to Dignes-les-bains, with its thermal bath centers. We really enjoyed our stay, and the owner was kind and accommodating 😊

We felt very comfortable here. The welcome was friendly, everything was spotless, and there were shady places to settle in. We were there in mid-May when the campsite was nearly empty. The pool was big, though still too cold for us to swim. Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and there’s direct access to the water, which was great for the dogs. For a motorhome, two people, and two dogs, we paid €29, plus €3 for Wi-Fi.
