Golden Tulip Reims

We stopped here on the way back to the UK after a holiday in South France. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was good, and the hotel is only a couple of minutes from the motorway. There’s no evening restaurant, though they do have some bar food. A very good pizza restaurant is just a couple of minutes’ walk away. Breakfast was very good, with lots of hot and cold choices, plus excellent croissants and coffee. The gym is quite limited, with just some weights, a bike, and one treadmill. There’s a nice indoor/outdoor plunge pool, and pets are welcome. I’d recommend it.

The pool and play area were useful for a bit of downtime, and most things about this stop on our long drive from the UK were great. Breakfast was a letdown: by 8.30 most things were gone, it was busy, and there weren’t enough staff replenishing them. We’d picked the hotel for its EV chargers so we could charge overnight, but two were broken and the others were occupied. That was frustrating.

Several EV chargers were out of order, which was disappointing. The room was a good size and the bed comfortable, though the cleanliness could have been better.

This was easily the best hotel of my 11 day week vacation in France with my parents and my husband. The central AC helped us get the best sleep we had during our stay in France. Rooms were tastefully decorated and very spacious, with firm mattresses and plush pillows. It’s a few minutes by car from the center of Reims, so it was great value for money. I’d definitely come back!
