Studio Verdun

The dishes were so good, and the prices made this my favorite dinner in Biarritz, even after eating at much pricier places. Every starter was 8 euros, mains were 16.50, and desserts were 8 euros. The poulpe and bonbons croustillants Serrano-brebis were especially good, and I’d recommend the tong and coquilles too. The gamba risotto was a bit odd, though, since it used orzo instead of risotto rice and came out a little slimy. The food quality was really good for the price, and I loved the experience at le O2 Verdun!

The starters were excellent, and the desserts were excellent too, very toasty. The food was nicely presented. My cod seemed just slightly underdone, and the main course was warm rather than served on hot plates.

We booked easily through The Fork app, which was convenient and user-friendly. I’d recommend reserving a table, since the restaurant was fully booked even in low season and several walk-ins were turned away. Le O2 Verdun has a cozy feel, and our service was friendly and fast. We enjoyed all the dishes, from the flavorful, nicely presented bonbon croustillant au serano and foie gras mi-cuit maison to the tender, fresh morue rôtie and the brochettes de gambas with creamy, well-seasoned risotto. The ananas avec sorbet was refreshing, and the fondant au chocolat was rich. A lovely dinner in Biarritz.
