Victoria surf

After several calls, emails, and inquiries, I never got a response from the reception staff. My booking was simply canceled. I've rarely had service this poor, unfriendly, or unprofessional at a residence. I can't believe a company like this operates this way.

We stayed at the Victoria for a week in June 2012, and this review is long overdue. Our apartment faced the sea, so we had the surf, beach, and stunning sunsets right there. The building was secure and meticulously clean, and reception was very helpful. Everything was walkable, including Les Halles, bars, shops, restaurants, and parks. At the big park, happy hour starts at 4 pm each day, and don't forget Club Plongeé. We'll always remember Biarritz as paradise.

We had a renovated studio on the sixth floor, with a balcony over the street. It had a dishwasher, microwave, oven, and a great sized shower. The beach was just around the corner, with restaurants, shops, and markets nearby too. The location puts you close to everything. The building looks a bit tired, though, and I'm not sure every room is up to the same standard.

We rented this place on Airbnb and were really disappointed when we arrived. The location is good, but the building is old and dirty. The host Margaux kept asking us to post photos of the place on Instagram, then after we left, offered a 10% discount on a future trip if we'd leave a good review. It felt desperate, and afterward she left us a bad review. She was very rude, and the place isn't worth the price. DON’T RENT THERE!
