Joyu Surf Shack

Jo's surf trips with the crew were the highlight for me. The sessions were unforgettable, with plenty of laughs and good company while sharing the ocean, as well as the waves. The meals were fresh, delicious, and full of flavor, and I looked forward to them as much as surfing. Joyu Surf Shack felt cozy and welcoming from the moment I arrived, and the rooms and shared areas were spotless. It felt like home, with a surf experience I won't forget. I can't wait to return.

We had such a good time at Joyu Surfshack. The staff were lovely and always ready to help, and there's a pretty little garden where you can relax. The house and rooms are cozy and charming. If we come back to Biarritz, we'd stay at Joyu's house again. ❤️🌿💝✌️

Bidart is cute, and the location is really nice. I booked the full “Eat,Sleep&Surf” week in a shared dorm and had an awesome time. Jo, his family, and the staff made us feel welcome. The concept is pretty unique around here: you get a hard board and Jo takes you to good nearby surf spots. We had fun in the sessions twice a day, and the tasty, healthy food was plentiful enough to keep us going all week. Can't wait to come back!

Jo is a very welcoming host and a great guide, and he's a proud Frenchman. The food was excellent, and I enjoyed the company while I was there. My bed was clean and very comfortable. The surf guiding and touring setup is great for people who can manage on their own in the water. They sort out boards, transport, and picking a spot, so you can just enjoy the day. I believe they also offer lessons for beginners. I'd love to return.
