Hôtel Restaurant Groff Aux Deux Clefs

The hotel is great, and the staff are lovely. The restaurant was a big disappointment, though, so don’t eat here. It’s expensive, and the fish I was served was raw and seemed barely defrosted. The Greek salad starter was mostly a side salad, with a few supermarket olives and some poor-quality feta.

We stayed one night while touring and would come back. The rooms are nice, and there’s a lovely garden with a pool. Service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. It’s easy to reach and has its own parking area, though there isn’t much around.

Our room was comfortable, modern, and quiet, and there was plenty of parking. The staff were friendly, and the hotel has a great restaurant on site. We did smell cigarette smoke from another room once, but it happened only that one time. We’d love to return on our next trip to Colmar and the Alsace region.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and the prices were good. The hotel is perfectly placed for Colmar, nearby villages of interest, and the Christmas markets. We’ll definitely come back another year to get plenty of Christmassy decorations and gifts!
